Registration
Registration is complete only when payment has been processed successfully. Camp size is limited and spots are filled in the order registrations are received. A confirmation email is sent from Stripe immediately after payment.

Refunds
Refund requests received more than 14 days before the camp date are refunded in full. Requests received within 14 days are reviewed case by case. If a camp is canceled by Johnson C. Smith University, all registrants receive a full refund.
Medical and liability
A parent or guardian must complete the waiver during registration for any camper under 18. Campers should be covered by their own health insurance. Athletic training staff are on site for the duration of each camp.
Photography
Photographs and video taken at camp may be used by Johnson C. Smith University Athletics for promotional purposes. Contact the camp staff in writing to opt out.
Processing fee
A card processing fee is added to the camp fee at checkout and is itemised before you pay. It covers the cost of accepting the card and is not refundable, even where the camp fee itself is refunded.
Payment security
Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered directly into Stripe's hosted payment fields and are never stored on this website or on Johnson C. Smith University servers.

Acknowledgment and Assumption of Risk
I, the undersigned participant (or parent/guardian if the participant is under 18 years of age), acknowledge and fully understand that participation in the basketball camp involves inherent risks of injury, including but not limited to sprains, strains, fractures, concussions, or other serious injuries. I voluntarily assume all such risks.
Medical Clearance
I confirm that I am physically fit and have no medical conditions that would prevent me from safely participating in the camp. I understand that it is my responsibility to consult with a physician prior to participation if I have any concerns about my health or fitness.
Release of Liability
I release and hold harmless Johnson C. Smith University and its officers, employees, coaches, and volunteers from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to my participation in the basketball camp.
Consent for Medical Treatment
In the event of a medical emergency, I authorize the staff or representatives of Atrium Health and Johnson C. Smith University to arrange for medical care, including transportation to a medical facility. I agree to be responsible for any medical costs incurred.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RISK & WAIVER OF LIABILITY — I, the undersigned participant (or the parent/legal guardian if the participant is under the age of 18), hereby acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. Voluntary Participation
I am voluntarily participating in the Johnson C. Smith University Women's Basketball Camp (hereafter “Camp”) and fully understand the nature of the sport and the risks involved, including but not limited to bodily injury, illness, permanent disability, or death.
2. Assumption of Risk
I understand that participation in athletic activities, including basketball, involves inherent risks such as collisions, falls, injuries from equipment, weather conditions, and potential exposure to infectious diseases (including but not limited to COVID-19). I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any and all risks of injury or damage associated with my participation in the Camp.
3. Medical Treatment Authorization
I authorize Johnson C. Smith University staff, athletic trainers, or designated medical personnel to administer emergency medical treatment as deemed necessary. I understand that I am solely responsible for any medical expenses incurred as a result of an injury or illness during Camp.
4. Release of Liability
In consideration of being allowed to participate in the Camp, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless Johnson C. Smith University, its trustees, officers, employees, coaches, volunteers, agents, and representatives from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained while participating in Camp activities, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.
5. Insurance Responsibility
I understand that Johnson C. Smith University does not provide health or accident insurance for Camp participants and that it is my responsibility to provide adequate coverage.
6. Photo/Video Release
I grant Johnson C. Smith University the right to use photographs and/or video recordings of me (or my child) taken during the Camp for promotional purposes, including but not limited to brochures, social media, or the University website, without compensation.
7. Participant Certification
I certify that I have read this document, fully understand its contents, and agree to be bound by its terms. I understand that by clicking I agree, I am giving up substantial rights, including the right to sue.
